Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure the company’s operations comply with Estonian financial regulations, MiCA requirements, EMI regulations, and applicable EU directives.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in Estonia and the EU affecting CASPs, EMIs, digital assets, and crypto-related services.
- Draft, update, and implement internal compliance policies, procedures, and manuals in line with regulatory updates.
- Compliance Monitoring & Controls
- Perform compliance reviews and monitoring activities to assess adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
- Support the design, implementation, and testing of compliance-related controls across the business.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, registers, and reports for internal stakeholders and regulators.
- Regulatory Interaction
- Act as a point of contact with the FSA and other relevant authorities for compliance-related matters
- Assist with regulatory submissions, filings, and responses to official requests.
- Business Support
- Work closely with operational, legal, and risk teams to ensure that compliance requirements are embedded into products, services, and processes.
- Support licensing, approvals, and other regulatory processes related to new services and products.
- Training & Awareness
- Conduct compliance training sessions for employees, focusing on Estonian regulatory requirements, MiCA obligations, and EMI rules.
- Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or in a similar role within Estonian’s financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of Estonian regulatory framework for VASPs/CASPs, EMIs, MiCA requirements, and crypto-related legislation.
- Experience working with FSA or other Estonian regulatory bodies.
- Languages
- Fluent Estonian (mandatory).
- Fluent English (mandatory).
