What will you do?
As an Analyst – Investors Team, you will support the development and maintenance of Gain’s global investor product, with dedicated exposure to either the General Partner (GP) team or the Limited Partner (LP) team. You will work closely with Senior Analysts and Associates, contributing through high-quality research, validation, and structured reviews within your assigned team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct structured research on GPs or LPs, covering strategies, funds, and core investment characteristics.
Support the build-out and ongoing enhancement of investor profiles on the Gain platform.
Review and validate investor data across strategy, fund, and portfolio levels to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Assist in asset–fund and asset–strategy mapping, including validation of linking logic and exceptions.
Review and validate LP financial data, including AUM, asset allocations, and representative performance metrics.
Perform regular checks and audits on existing investor profiles and fund data as part of quality and refresh cycles.
Support deep-dive validations on fund structures, strategy classification, and portfolio holdings.
Work closely with Senior Analysts to review outputs, incorporate feedback, and improve research quality over time.
Collaborate with Product and Tech teams by providing qualitative inputs to support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Demonstrate strong ownership of assigned tasks, with a focus on execution, learning, and continuous improvement.

What do you need to join us?
Education: Strong academic background in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline.
Experience:
1+ year of experience in private equity research, financial research, consulting, shared services, or data/analytics platforms.
Exposure to investor, fund, or asset-level research is preferred.
GP & LP understanding:
Working knowledge of GP or LP structures, fund strategies, and private market terminology.
Familiarity with LP disclosures, public filings, or performance reporting is a plus (FOIA exposure is a bonus, not a requirement).
Private markets interest: Clear interest in private equity and alternative investments, including fund lifecycles, strategy types, and investor taxonomy.
Quality & review mindset: Comfortable working in review-driven workflows with structured feedback and validation checkpoints.
Communication: Ability to clearly document findings, ask the right questions, and collaborate across teams.
Growth mindset: Willingness to learn, adapt, and scale research depth over time in a fast-moving environment
