Position Overview

Our Global Research Centre in Bangalore is driving the company's ambitions of building a Private Markets Super App and become a global leader in private markets intelligence. The Private Equity Intelligence (PEI) vertical drives research and thought leadership for Gain through a large global team. Our investors (LP, GP) and Lenders insights are key a part of our offering and vision.

We are seeking a dynamic Research Team Lead to join our Bangalore office and have operational and strategic ownership of our research teams focused on GP, LP, and Lender data sets. We are looking for a strategic leader with a proven track record in scaling private market data sets and managing high-performing teams. You will play a key role in synthesising human expertise with AI-driven workflows whilst ensuring our market coverage remains high quality and up to date.

What does the role entail

·       Operational ownership and oversight of the GP, LP and Lenders public data verticals

·       A subject matter expert with the ability to guide research teams and ideate on product direction and strategy

·       Experience in managing data sets with a focus on coverage growth, timeliness of new data capture, quality, and a think-forward mindset to react to industry developments and client needs.

·       Managing and scaling multiple teams, being able to train, develop and motivate team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, personal and professional growth

·       Cross-functional collaboration across other Research Teams and Product / Engineering to facilitate strong partnerships that innovate and develop product offerings.

·       Identify and lead initiatives for Process optimization of workflows such as  automation efforts to streamline recurring data updates.

What you need to join us?

·       8+ years experience in a senior-level research-focused data management role

·       Successfully managed a team of people managers with a positive, decisive, and empathic management style

·       Demonstrated experience working with private market data. Knowledge of private credit debt instruments and relevant data points spanning BDCs, CLOs, and broadly syndicated loans is a plus

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Proven ability to deliver strategic thought leadership along with a hands-on/getting things done mindset
