Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Laser Technician to join our team in Helsinki. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber laser systems integral to Thor Dynamics' directed energy technologies. This role is essential for ensuring the performance, precision, and reliability of our counter-drone defense solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, align, and maintain fiber laser systems and components.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laser equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and measurements to ensure optimal laser performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate fiber laser systems into broader defense solutions.
• Document assembly procedures, test results, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the setup and operation of the 70-acre test and demonstration facility in Helsinki.
  

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in Photonics, Optics, Electronics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with fiber laser systems.
• Proficiency in using optical alignment tools, diagnostic equipment, and laser safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of fiber optics, laser physics, and photonics technologies.
• Experience with high-power laser systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Finnish is an advantage.
