About the Role:

As Kiln’s Social Media Intern, you will focus on elevated storytelling that highlights our vibrant members, dedicated community teams, and unique spaces across the Mountain West. Working closely with the Content Marketing Manager, you will support and maintain our social platforms end-to-end—from ideating LinkedIn thought leadership to fostering an active online community—with the additional opportunity to serve as a dynamic on-screen face for the brand.

Development & Exposure:

Through this experience, you will gain foundational experience in executing social media strategies and build a high-impact professional portfolio that showcases your ability to produce both compelling community-driven narratives and engaging on-screen personality content. This role provides direct mentorship and hands-on experience to brand-building work, allowing you to develop the specialized skills required to lead high-growth brands while cultivating an invaluable network of professional connections within our coworking communities.

Key Relationships:

  • Content Marketing Manager (primary day-to-day collaboration and direction)
  • Marketing Team (campaign planning, brand alignment, and content strategy)
  • Community Managers and Operations Teams at Kiln locations (on-site coordination, content capture, and local storytelling)
  • Brand & Partnerships (supporting partner content, events, and collaborations as needed)
  • Kiln Members and community partners (on-camera participation, interviews, and authentic community representation)

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work in-person at Kiln's Lehi and Holladay locations.

  • Work in coordination with Content Marketing Manager to define  social media content strategy and plan, create, schedule, publish, and manage social media content across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok using Sprout Social.

  • Serve as an on-screen personality (plus/nice-to-have), representing and embodying the Kiln brand through social-first video and content.

  • Provide guidance, best practices, and strategy to Kiln communities for social media posting.

  • Own day-to-day management of Kiln’s social media channels, including posting cadence, engagement, and community interaction.

  • Actively engage with Kiln’s online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, thoughtful, and on-brand manner.

  • Ideate, create, post, and manage short-form video content optimized for each platform.

  • Unlock stories and star power from Kiln staff and members.

  • Ideate, create, and manage social graphics using Canva (experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate is a plus).

  • Create and contribute to thought leadership content, with a strong natural instinct for LinkedIn content and platform best practices.

  • Identify, test, and leverage social media trends to help grow reach, engagement, and brand awareness.

  • Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns tied to events, announcements, and community initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to ensure content aligns with Kiln’s brand voice, visual identity, and marketing objectives.

  • Track and analyze social media performance to measure success and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Stay up to date on emerging platforms, tools, and best practices in social media and digital content.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas to continually elevate Kiln’s social presence.

Experience & Skills:

  • Passion for social media and strong familiarity with major platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.

  • Deeply tapped into current trends on LinkedIn and Instagram with an understanding of how to adapt trends for brand use.

  • Self starter with the ability to execute high quality content consistently.

  • Willing and able to travel regularly to Kiln locations across the Mountain West region of the United States as required.

  • Natural instinct for LinkedIn content and interest in creating thoughtful, on-brand thought leadership posts.

  • Able to effectively record high-quality short-form videos using an iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro or similar).

  • Experience creating social media content across formats, including videos, graphics, and photos.

  • Proficiency with Canva; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics and the ability to interpret performance data to inform content decisions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Positive, proactive, and member-focused, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.

  • Demonstrates integrity, dependability, self-awareness, empathy, and a strong work ethic.

  • Understanding of and alignment with Kiln’s mission, values, and brand voice.

  • Comfortable and confident as an on-camera personality for short-form, social-first video content.
