Job Description
About Morpho
Morpho is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending protocol that raised million from Ribbit Capital, a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Variant, Brevan Howard, Pantera, Blocktower, and 50 others to build an open lending network giving anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms. Morpho is experiencing explosive growth, with over billion in deposits on the network, solidifying itself as the new standard for DeFi lending. Now, Morpho is scaling its team of contributors to establish itself as a cornerstone, not just of DeFi, but of a new internet-native financial system.
Our Mission
Morpho's mission is to power human ambition with open access to capital. Human ambition has no borders, but the capital to fuel it does. Today's financial system is closed and fragmented. No one sees all opportunities, most overpay, and some are excluded entirely. We believe capital should flow efficiently to where it's needed most: giving anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms.
How we work
We move fast on hard problems in a nascent market with no set playbook : navigating uncertainty is part of the job. You'll be challenged: anyone can question work and decisions must be justified. We keep a high bar and match it with high support: we help each other unblock and share context openly, with low ego. More about our values: morpho.org/jobs.
Location
Paris or remote (from -5h GMT up to +2h GMT to ensure sufficient overlap with the rest of the team).
Role
The mission of this role is to build and run a professional events function for Morpho, owning the full events calendar, hosted experiences, and the company's own conferences, to translate real-world presence into pipeline, partnerships, and brand credibility.
Responsibilities
Own the events calendar end to end, deciding which conferences Morpho attends and coordinating team participation with Growth, BD, and leadership, to ensure every event ties back to clear business objectives and measurable outcomes.
Plan and run hosted experiences around key events, managing venue, production, merch, and logistics end to end, to build meaningful relationships with customers and partners.
Lead the development of Morpho-owned conferences, owning concept, format, programming, and on-the-ground production, to establish Morpho as a leading convener in the industry.
Track speaking and sponsorship opportunities, manage relationships with external organizers and partners, and coordinate Morpho's presence to maximize brand and commercial impact.
Manage event-related merch and gifting in coordination with the marketing team, to create memorable, on-brand touchpoints that reinforce relationships.
Run post-event post-mortems tied to pre-set objectives and outcomes, to continuously raise the bar on how Morpho shows up.
Support internal events and offsites alongside the ops team, to contribute to team culture and cohesion across a globally distributed crew.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 days: Ramped on Morpho's product, customers, commercial priorities, and team. Full landscape of relevant industry events over the next 12 months mapped. A shared view of what Morpho has done historically at events, what worked, and what didn't. Operational ownership taken of the next 1 to 2 events on the calendar.
First 3 Months: A prioritized events calendar for the year published, tied to business objectives, with clear rationale on what's in and what's out. A default playbook defined for how Morpho shows up per event type (tier 1 vs. tier 2 vs. opportunistic). Several hosted experiences run end to end, with objectives set beforehand and post-mortems after.
In 1 Year: Multiple events executed to a high standard, with a track record of pipeline and relationships generated. Events function operating predictably, with leadership and Growth knowing what to expect and when. A clear proposal on the concept, format, and timeline for the first Morpho-owned conference. Reputation internally as the person who makes Morpho show up better than it has before.
Must-have Experience & Skills
5+ years of experience in event management, with at least 3 years in the crypto or web3 space.
Proven track record running demand gen events, hosted experiences, and large-scale productions end to end, with a portfolio of events, aftermovies, or recaps to show.
Strong project management skills across multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously.
Commercial mindset: ability to define event objectives upfront, drive follow-up, and tie outcomes to pipeline and relationships.
Comfortable operating with partial information in a fast-changing, high-ambiguity environment.
Clear and crisp async communication across time zones and teams.
Ownership and autonomy: you set your own agenda and take full accountability for outcomes.
Humble.
