About the Role:
For our team expansion in Spain, we are looking for a Senior Finance Manager who combines strong analytical capabilities with operational ownership and a continuous improvement mindset.
This is a dual-focus role combining:
- Ownership of local finance operations (FinOps, liquidity, financial control, FP&A)
- Active contribution to Group Finance Operations, systems, and transformation initiatives
You will act as a key link between the local entity and Group Finance, ensuring alignment with group-wide processes, controls, and reporting standards, while maintaining full ownership of local financial operations.
This role carries a high level of responsibility and visibility. You will ensure operational financial control, liquidity oversight, and governance, while also supporting management with high-quality financial analysis, planning, and strategic insight.
You will supervise a Finance Analyst (Junior) and operate within a centralised, scalable finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Group Finance Operations.
Your Role:
- Oversee daily liquidity across banks, acquirers, exchanges, and wallets, including funding requirements and liquidity forecasting to ensure operational continuity.
- Approve and supervise fund transfers between banks, exchanges, and wallets.
- Own month-end financial data integrity, including review and approval of postings across acquirers, banks, exchanges, wallets, and data warehouse.
- Review and approve reconciliations (banks, exchanges, wallets, clearing accounts), investigate discrepancies, and ensure completeness and accuracy prior to reporting.
- Act as bank payment approver and maintain strong segregation of duties.
- Oversee and control access rights across financial platforms.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate liquidity and operational risks.
- Deliver monthly management reporting with accurate and timely financial and performance analysis.
- Provide clear variance analysis vs budget and forecast, including actionable recommendations.
- Monitor overheads versus budget and partner with budget owners to drive cost discipline.
- Support Quarterly Forecasting, Annual Budgeting, and Long-Term Planning.
- Act as the interface between local operations and Group Finance, ensuring alignment with group processes, controls, and reporting standards.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of finance systems and data architecture.
- Drive automation of high-volume processes (e.g. reconciliations, transaction matching, postings), reducing manual effort and operational risk.
- Contribute to the standardisation and optimisation of month-end close processes across the group.
- Ensure data integrity across systems, from source transaction flows through to reporting outputs.
- Support development and enhancement of reporting infrastructure, dashboards, and BI solutions.
- Participate in and contribute to group-wide finance transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain product unit economics and customer profitability analysis.
- Perform segmental and margin analysis, including pricing reviews and transaction mix evaluation.
- Provide financial evaluation of contractual terms and pricing strategies.
- Act as a proactive finance business partner, collaborating cross-functionally to improve processes and drive sustainable financial performance.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Control, FinOps, or FP&A.
- Strong experience in liquidity management, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Proven experience operating in high-volume transactional environments with focus on scalability and efficiency.
- Solid background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Experience with product profitability, margin, or pricing analysis.
- Hands-on experience with finance systems, process improvement, and automation initiatives.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g. Power BI or similar).
- Strong understanding of data flows across systems and ability to ensure data integrity.
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
- High ownership, accountability, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer:
- Competitive market rate salary and performance-based incentives
- 22 days annual leave with an additional 6 company days, plus bank holidays
- Comprehensive health insurance plans
- Extensive Benefits program
- Flexible work schedule and remote work options
- Professional development and training opportunities
- Opportunity to shape the initiatives you’re working on
- Diverse and friendly team
- We are open-minded to new ideas
