  • Advise on organisational design, clarify roles, and support workforce planning

  • Prepare and review position descriptions and assist with job evaluations

  • Help managers with recruitment and onboarding for a smooth employee experience

  • Ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently

  • Support leaders with HR-related risk management and ensure compliance

  • Assist with organisational change projects, like restructures and system rollouts

  • Recommend ways to improve people processes and work practices

  • Act as the main People & Culture contact, encouraging collaboration and inclusion

  • Lead by example and promote Shift’s values

  • Support culture and engagement initiatives

  • Help meet WHS obligations and maintain a safe work environment

  • Contribute to broader People & Culture projects

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of generalist HR or People & Culture experience

  • Up-to-date knowledge of modern HR practices

  • Confidence guiding leaders through change and complex people issues

  • Clear communication and coaching skills with the ability to influence and advise

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or a related field (preferred)

Key benefits:

  • Collaborative teams – a flat structure means everyone can learn from colleagues and senior leaders around the business.

  • Be involved – come together with all of your colleagues every 100 days to share the product and technology roadmap and business strategy.

  • Flexible working environment – we’re headquartered in North Sydney with state-based workplaces and offer a flexible work policy.

  • Family support – industry leading 26 weeks paid parental leave.
