About the role:
As a Senior HR Business Partner at Shift, you’ll work directly with leaders and teams to help build a high-performing, engaged, and inclusive workplace. This is a practical, hands-on role - you’ll offer straight-forward HR guidance, deliver People & Culture initiatives, and support business goals in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
What you’ll do:
Build trusted relationships with leaders and teams, providing advice on a range of employee matters
Align People & Culture programs with company objectives
Coach and support managers to improve capability, performance, and engagement
Collaborate with technology and product teams to solve HR challenges
Advise on organisational design, clarify roles, and support workforce planning
Prepare and review position descriptions and assist with job evaluations
Help managers with recruitment and onboarding for a smooth employee experience
Ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently
Support leaders with HR-related risk management and ensure compliance
Assist with organisational change projects, like restructures and system rollouts
Recommend ways to improve people processes and work practices
Act as the main People & Culture contact, encouraging collaboration and inclusion
Lead by example and promote Shift’s values
Support culture and engagement initiatives
Help meet WHS obligations and maintain a safe work environment
Contribute to broader People & Culture projects
What you’ll bring:
7+ years of generalist HR or People & Culture experience
Up-to-date knowledge of modern HR practices
Confidence guiding leaders through change and complex people issues
Experience working with technology or product teams
Clear communication and coaching skills with the ability to influence and advise
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or a related field (preferred)
