Job Description

Senior Technical Producer - Online Platform

Level is a learning technology company dedicated to helping students build real academic and life skills with confidence and joy. We combine proven curriculum principles with world class interactive design to make meaningful practice something students want to come back to, not something they struggle through.

We support what teachers, schools, and parents are already doing by increasing student engagement with high quality, standards aligned practice that reinforces classroom learning. That’s why we’re building:

For students: Rewarding and motivating learning experiences that build real academic proficiency.

For educators: Tools that fit naturally into instruction and help students stay engaged while reducing teacher workload.

For parents: Whether learning at school or at home, activities that help your kid catch up or get ahead, build confidence, and minimize homework battles.

We are committed to helping every person maximize their potential and live a life of meaning. It’s a difficult problem that requires brilliant people and tremendous effort over time.

We're seeking a skilled Senior Technical Producer to serve as the critical bridge between creative vision and technical execution for our online platform. This role is essential to transforming educational content and interactive experiences from concept into polished, performant digital products. You'll orchestrate complex production pipelines, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure that ambitious creative ideas are delivered on time, on budget, and at the quality our learners deserve—all while navigating the technical constraints and opportunities of web and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Pipeline Management: Own the end-to-end production process for online platform features, from initial concept through launch, ensuring smooth handoffs between design, development, content, and QA teams

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central hub connecting product managers, designers, engineers, curriculum specialists, and stakeholders—translating requirements between disciplines and keeping all parties aligned

  • Technical Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate creative concepts and feature proposals for technical viability, identifying constraints, risks, and opportunities early in the process to inform realistic scoping and planning

  • Schedule & Resource Management: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, resource allocation plans, and milestone tracking across multiple concurrent initiatives, proactively addressing bottlenecks and dependencies

  • Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving: Identify production risks before they become blockers, developing contingency plans and making real-time decisions to keep projects on track when challenges arise

  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Partner with QA teams to establish testing protocols, manage bug triage, and ensure all releases meet quality standards for performance, accessibility, and user experience

  • Sprint Planning & Agile Facilitation: Lead sprint planning sessions, daily standups, and retrospectives for platform teams, ensuring development cycles are efficient and focused on highest-priority deliverables

  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain production documentation including technical specifications, asset requirements, platform constraints, and integration guidelines for internal teams and external partners

  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders, translating technical complexities into clear progress reports and managing expectations around timelines and trade-offs

  • Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with external development partners, third-party integrations, and service providers, ensuring deliverables meet specifications and timelines

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in technical production, project management, or producer roles for digital products, with specific focus on web and/or mobile platforms

  • Proven track record delivering complex interactive experiences from concept through launch, managing all phases of the production lifecycle

  • Strong technical fluency with understanding of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript frameworks), mobile development (iOS/Android), APIs, content management systems, and platform performance optimization

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, QA, and content specialists, with ability to speak the language of each discipline

  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Monday, or similar) and development workflows (Agile/Scrum, Git, CI/CD pipelines)

  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities, manage scope creep, and make tough trade-off decisions that preserve project goals

  • Strong problem-solving skills with track record of unblocking teams and finding creative solutions to production challenges

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience managing production schedules for multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in educational technology, e-learning platforms, or interactive learning experiences with understanding of pedagogical considerations in technical decisions

  • Experience producing animated or motion-heavy interactive content, including coordination of asset pipelines for animations, video, and dynamic media

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and experience ensuring platform compliance across devices and assistive technologies

  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), content authoring tools, or educational content delivery platforms

  • Experience with performance optimization, load testing, and scalability considerations for platforms serving large user bases

  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (COPPA, FERPA, GDPR) relevant to educational technology

  • Technical background with hands-on development or engineering experience

  • Experience managing remote or distributed teams across time zones

  • Analytics and metrics experience, using data to inform production decisions and measure feature success

  • Budget management experience including resource forecasting and cost tracking
